Born in Seoul. Raised in Tokyo, then Paris, then back to a Korea she had to rebuild in her own mouth.
She produces, writes, and directs — not as separate disciplines. As one instinct. Everything she makes carries her name on every part of it. That was always the condition.
It took a while to find the room where that was possible. She built the room.
The Work
Every credit is exactly that. No ghost credits. No borrowed names. If it says CI-EL, she was in the room and she did the work.
Mnemosyne
I spent years inside systems that owned what I made. The sound. The image. The rights. The story they told about me. I made it work until I couldn't. Then August and I built this.
Mnemosyne is named after the Titan goddess of memory — mother of the nine Muses, origin of everything creative. Because that's what this is. Not a business. A memory that refused to be taken.
Every artist here controls what they make. Full authorship. No compromise on that. The standard is high because what we're building deserves it.
